LIST OF SERVICES
All services are suited to budding writers and professional writers.
GROUP SESSIONS
WRITING HAVENS via Zoom - this is where writers sit with other writers via Zoom and work individually on their own project for 90 uninterrupted minutes.
$20 – gives access to 3 sessions over one week (Tuesday 9.30am–11.30am, Tues 5.30pm–7.30pm, Wed 12.15pm–2.15pm.)
$70 – for four weeks of Writing Haven sessions (doesn’t have to be consecutive weeks)
$130 – for eight weeks of Writing Haven sessions (has to be completed in a single term).
PRIVATE SESSIONS: ONE-ON-ONE STRUCTURED WRITING PROGRAM
Finding time to write can be a problem. For those who are time poor but who really, really want to keep the writing alive, these private sessions provide a weekly or (for those who want a more leisurely pace) there’s a fortnightly deadline. (Feedback is provided weekly/fortnightly).

Q. What's involved?
A. At an agreed time each Monday (or for the leisurely-paced, it’s every second Monday) I’ll call and we’ll agree on a word target (for your current or new writing project) over the next five days. You then send that writing to me by midnight Friday (or for the leisurely-paced, it’s the next Friday). The maximum word count is 2500 words.
Q. How does this help me write?
A. You negotiate a weekly or fortnightly writing target with me and I 'keep you honest' by reading it for you and giving you written feedback.
Q. How much does this cost?
A. You can choose to do this over 4 weeks for $180 (which equates to $45 per week) or over 12 weeks for $480 (equates to $40 per week) or over 24 weeks for $840 (equates to $35 per week). The leisurely-paced option, stretches the 4 wks out to 8 wks; the 12 wks out to 24 wks and the 24 wks out to 48 wks.
Q. How long is the phone call on Monday? How many words can I send you on Friday?
A: The phone call is brief, just enough time to discuss any queries you have about the feedback I sent you plus we negotiate the next week’s/fortnight’s writing target. You can send anything up to 2500 words per week/fortnight.
Q. What if I get sick or something happens in the middle of my 4, 12 or 24 weeks?
A. We can pause for illness or holidays etc.
Q. What if starting on a Monday isn't convenient, can we start on another day of the week or weekend?
A. Yes
Q. What if the weekly turnaround time i.e. only having five days to write from Mon through Fri is too fast for me? Is it possible to do this over a fortnight for the same fee, giving me 12 days to write?
A. Yes, that’s the leisurely-paced option for the 4,12 and 24 week programs. For example, if you let me know that you're interested in the 4 week program for $180 but you want to do it at a leisurely-pace, we then extend it over 8 weeks. This means I‘ll call you every 2nd Monday and you then submit something (up to 2500 words) every 2nd Friday.
OTHER SERVICES (ON REQUEST)
PRIVATE COACHING & GOAL-SETTING SESSION – in a private 60-minute session, the focus is on building belief, motivation, direction and providing writing guidelines and publishing possibilities. This can be a face-to-face or via ZOOM session.
$110 – one 60-minute session only
$300 – one 60-minute session per month for 3 months
$550 – one 60-minute session per month for 6 months
$990 – one 60-minute session per month for 12 months
MONTHLY CRITIQUE GROUP - via zoom. Please enquire about dates for 2025. Need to commit to a minimum of three monthly sessions - upfront fee is $100. Each month, you’ll receive feedback on up to 4000 words. Maximum of four writers each month, so you’ll need to read up to 3 x 4000 words (12 000 words) each month of other’s work and speak for up to 6 minutes on the loves and stumbles you had in your reading of their writing.
